Cookie Policy
This policy explains how AnotPad (https://anotpad.com) uses cookies and similar technologies in your browser.

Summary
- AnotPad does not use its own tracking or audience analytics cookies.
- Google AdSense and its partners may use advertising cookies when ads are shown, which only happens if you accept. If you decline, no ads are shown; even so, the AdSense code is loaded on content pages and Google may record technical access data, as with any third-party resource.
- The notice that appears when you arrive records that you have read the policies and asks whether you accept ads.
- If you accept, Google Analytics (from Google) uses cookies to measure how many people visit the site. If you decline, it is not loaded and its cookies are deleted.
- We keep only a few preferences in your browser, so the app remembers how you like to use it.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. There are also similar technologies, such as local storage (localStorage), which keep information on the device itself. They are usually used to remember preferences or to identify the visitor.
2. What AnotPad keeps in your browser

The Firebase library, used to connect to the database, may also store technical items in the browser, for example to choose the best connection type. They do not identify you.
3. Third-party services
- Google Fonts: fonts and icons are loaded from Google’s servers. In that request, Google receives your IP address and technical browser data.
- Google Analytics (only if you accept usage statistics): Google stores cookies such as _ga and _ga_<ID> to tell visitors apart and measure site usage. Note addresses are not sent, and declining deletes those cookies.
- Google AdSense (when ads are shown, that is, if you accept): Google and partners may store cookies such as __gads and __gpi, plus cookies from the doubleclick.net domain, to show ads, limit repetition and measure results. You can delete them in your browser settings and turn off personalization at adssettings.google.com.
- Google reCAPTCHA (Firebase App Check): used in the background, with no challenges shown, to protect the database from automated use. It may store cookies and technical identifiers in the browser and receive the IP address and device data.
- Firebase (Google): site hosting and notes database. The infrastructure may record technical access data for security and operation.

4. How to delete or control it
- On the home page, the "Clear list" button deletes the recent notes from this browser.
- In your browser settings, you can delete the site data (cookies and local storage) at any time.
- If you delete it, the app goes back to its default settings (for example, the automatic theme). Your notes are not affected, because they stay on the server.
5. Changes to this policy
If we start using other types of cookies, this policy will be updated beforehand and, when the law requires, we will ask for your consent.
6. Language
This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any difference, the Portuguese version prevails.
