Which tool to use

  • Writing for social media, for an essay, a thesis or for Google: the word and character counter, which shows the size of the text and each place’s limits.
  • Text typed with Caps Lock on, or a title that needs formatting: uppercase and lowercase.
  • A list with repeated or unordered items: remove duplicate lines, sort lines and number lines.
  • A list that has to become a single line for SQL, a spreadsheet or an email: list to comma-separated text.
  • Copied text with double spaces, too many line breaks or PDF formatting: remove extra spaces, remove line breaks and clean formatting.
  • A page address or file name from a title: text to slug and remove accents.
  • Two versions of the same text and you wonder what changed: compare text.
  • The amount of a check, receipt or contract written in words: number to words.
  • School or college grades: grade average calculator. Discounts, increases and changes: percentage calculator.
  • A link, text or Wi-Fi password to share with a phone camera: QR Code generator. Text formatted with simple symbols: Markdown viewer.

How they work

Each tool does its calculation in your own browser, as soon as you type or paste. Nothing is sent, stored or shared. When you close the page, what you typed is gone; to keep the result, use "Save to a note" and it becomes an AnotPad note, with an address of its own that you can open on your phone and computer.

To combine tools, copy the result of one and paste it into the next: for example, remove extra spaces, then duplicate lines and finally sort the list.
