The shopping list split by store section, with the items already in the cart checked off.

How to use it

  1. Click "Use this template" and confirm the note name (it already ends with a random, hard-to-guess part).
  2. Replace the sample items with what your home needs. Enter creates the next item with a checkbox.
  3. Send the link to the people you live with: everyone edits the same list, in real time.
  4. At the store, tap the checkbox of each item that goes into the cart.

Tips

  • Reorder the sections to match the store you usually go to.
  • After shopping, delete the checked items or use version history (clock icon) to go back to the full list.
  • A second note with the items you buy every week helps you build the list in a few minutes.

Monthly list and weekly list

Many families do one big shop at the start of the month and smaller ones every week. Two notes in the same folder work well: home/monthly-shopping, with things that run out slowly (rice, coffee, cleaning products), and home/weekly-shopping, with fruit, bread and anything that spoils fast. When you go to the store, you open only the right list and do not waste time skipping what you do not need right now.

  • Agree that whoever uses the last of something adds it to the list right away. That is what makes the list work for everyone.
  • Write the quantity when it matters: "milk (6)" saves you from coming home with just one carton.
  • To save money, write the price of the pricier items next to their name and compare from week to week.
